My conversation with Frank Shamrock
Hello Edgeheads. A seminal event took place in Elevation Nation last week. On my online radio show last Friday I had the extreme pleasure of having a twenty five minute interview with mixed martial arts legend Frank Shamrock.

- Here are a few of the highlights of the many things Frank and I discussed:
- - His reaction to Strikeforce buying EliteXC’s old assets and how the promotion compares to the UFC.
- - How Strikeforce’s Scott Coker understands the relationship between fighter and promoter better then Dana White
- - The possibility of Tito Ortiz fighting for Strikeforce and if Frank has a desire to fight Tito again.
Frank Shamrock says he would love to do battle with the Huntington Beach Bad Boy one more time
- - The possibility of whether Frank will ever fight his brother Ken Shamrock with Strikeforce.
- - Frank took us back to his experiences last October with EliteXC’s Heat show and how he nearly became Kimbo Slice’s opponent that night after Ken Shamrock pulled out at the very last minute.
- - His true opinion on whether Kimbo is a good fighter or not.
Kimbo may have an intimidating look, but his actual fighting ability leaves alot to be desired
- -Frank’s take on the BJ Penn/ Georges St. Pierre Vaseline controversy, and what sort of advantage having a substance like Vaseline on the back can bring to a fighter.
- - His experiences working with Gus Johnson
- - How being a MMA teacher has benefited his fighting and announcing, and whether Frank wants to return to the announcing booth
- - Frank gave his honest opinion on Ken Shamrock and how he wants to “pound Ken into retirement”
- - Also that Elevation is the newest member of the Shamrock family.
There is no brotherly love between Frank and Ken Shamrock.
